A little bit of faith restored

Recessions don’t matter when people do.  The best example of that is David Armano’s recent post about a family friend Daniela.  I am not going to re-post the story here but you can read about it on David’s blog.

What is so phenomenal about this is that David posted this, twittered to his 7,000+ followers and within a day almost $12,000 dollars has been raised to help the family.

Even businessweek picked up on the story.  And while many are marvelling at the power of twitter and the power of the collective I think something important is getting overlooked.  People care.  People care about absolute strangers and are willing to help; all you have to do is ask.

I think a bit of faith in humanity just got restored.
