I seem to be writing a lot about police and their actions, and perhaps it isn’t always fait to judge. For example CBC reports two cops in Calgary have been cleared of criminal charges stemming from an arrest incident. You can watch the video and decide for youself. The problem of course is that this is only 4 minutes of a longer incident, and we are not privy to that initial information. It does raise some concerns though. The cop hits the guy, who is on the ground twice in the head. which to me is obviously assault. The flip side is that if a guy was dealing drugs in my neighbourhood I would beat his ass too. But then why were the charges dropped? What other information are we missing?
