Another day of headwinds

I’m beginning to dislike Saskatchewan. It was not been as sweet to me as Alberta was. I was planning on making it to Manitoba today but it was not to be. A 25km/hr headwind left me exhausted in a short period of time. Actually the wind shifted between E and SE and as luck would have it I was going SSE! So I got it all. When I stopped for the night in Moosomin I turned Northward to the only campsite and the wind was pushing me 26km/hr!

Mentally this is much tougher than the mountains because at least with the mountains I know there is a peak and a descent. The wind just never stops. (No matter how much I yell and swear at it)

silos.jpg Random Silos.I wore my headphones for the first time the whole trip. The Trans-Canada (or “tranny” as I like to call it) had a good shoulder to I was able to get way out of the way and zone out for a bit. Still I was done physically by about 2:30pm.

I had only gone a 100km which makes me upset because I know if the wind was with me I could have made such better time!

Stats:
Total: 104km
Ave 19.6km
Time 5:20
Max: 28.8 (pathetic, huh?)
