New post and an introduction

A good place to start is the beginning. For me that was the Fall of 1992, my first year at university. One of my dorm-mates had just recieved a six hundred dollar phone bill which was the result of his surfing the web to download games from Virginia tech or some other school.

Flash forward to my senior year, and most of the people in my dorm were connected, and three years after that I was teaching web design at a community college. The Internet has made itself, or rather the people who use the internet have made it an indespensible tool to everyday life. I don’t even own a phonebook anymore. If you’re not on the web, then I can’t do business with you. It is that simple.

I’m not writing this to tell you that you need a website, you already know that. What I am going to try and do is pass along any of the resources or information I get and collect it here for others to use. I have the good fortune to work for one of the top agencies in the world. I have worked on multi-million dollar accounts with dozens and dozens of people who are experts in their field. The problem is they don’t know about the rest of the process, only their niche part. I hope that they will join me, and share what they know and perhaps learn a little too. We could all use more knowledge.
